Aspen's Story...
Hi my name is Aspen!! My brother Snoopy and I are just so happy to be here and super excited that we are going to find families to call our own. We both love toys, treats, playing with other puppies and soft blankets to curl up on. The folks here say they can't guarantee our breed mix but are guessing we have some beagle mix in us. We are about 11 months old so the staff is guessing we will be medium size as adults. If you have the time for an active young puppy and are searching for a happy and adorable new addition then look no further, come in and scoop me up! Before making the trip to visit the shelter we strongly recommend checking our website for information on adoption policies and procedures. Please understand that because we are a busy place and because so many animals need our care and attention, adoptions are on a first come basis and no animal will be put on hold, we appreciate your understanding and look forward to your visit! To inquire about a pet's availability or for more information please PHONE the shelter (978-283-6055 ex 10 for reception desk) instead of sending emails.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Aspen, a Gloucester Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle for sale in Gloucester, or seeking a Beagle dog from a breeder in Gloucester.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Gloucester already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Gloucester breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle breeders who help with Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Gloucester paves the way for another one to be saved.
