Prince's Story...
Hello! My name is Prince and I am sooo happy to meet you! I have come a long way to find my fur-ever home and I hope it doesn't take too long. I am just about three months and weigh 16 pounds, making the folks here believe I will be medium size when full grown. I'm not quite sure what I am mixed with but I have heard that we have some Border Collie mixed in our family tree. I love to play with toys, go for adventures outside, and be with people and other dogs. I am a friendly pup with nothing but love to give! I want nothing more than to grow together and have many memories and laughs! If you think that you would make a great family for me please feel free to come down and say hi! Before making the trip to visit the shelter we strongly recommend checking our website for information on adoption policies and procedures. Please understand that because we are a busy place and because so many animals need our care and attention, adoptions are on a first come basis and no animal will be put on hold, we appreciate your understanding and look forward to your visit! To inquire about a pet's availability or for more information please PHONE the shelter (978-283-6055 ex 10 for reception desk) instead of sending emails.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Prince, a Gloucester Border Collie puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie for sale in Gloucester, or seeking a Border Collie puppy from a breeder in Gloucester.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Gloucester already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Gloucester breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie breeders who help with Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Gloucester paves the way for another one to be saved.
