Chickadee's Story...
Name: Chickadee
Color: Black and White
Breed: Domestic Short Hair
Gender: Female
Age: 7 Months
This gorgeous girl is Chickadee and she is looking for her loving forever home. Cats can live to be 15-20 years old so she is really looking for a home that is in it for the long haul.
Big fan of: Chickadee is bursting with curious energy and is always on the alert. She loves to explore new environments and likes to get involved in all sorts of adventures. She will need lots of toys, love, and stimulation to remain happy and healthy. Chickadee is a sweet girl who will want to cuddle with you on her terms when she isn't busy playing.
Dream Home: She seems to be fairly comfortable in the company of other cats and should settle in well in a home with a mellow male cat who will let her be in charge. Chickadee is confident enough that she should be just fine in a home with a cat-savvy dog that knows better than to chase her. She is also gentle enough to live with respectful children who know how to play gently with her.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chickadee, a Bellingham Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Bellingham, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Bellingham.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bellingham already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bellingham breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bellingham paves the way for another one to be saved.
