Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Orlanda is one special kitty! It's hard to believe that no one came looking for this amazing looking little cat, estimated to be 1 yrs old, when she ended up in a high kill public shelter as a stray. Orlanda ( or "Orla" as her foster mom fondly calls her) came to us as a shy, reserved girl who initially hid under the bed. But, one week later Orla has found her voice!! She has a tiny, adorable little meow that sounds kinda rusty. She is cautious but not terrified, and will let you approach slowly. Once you do, you're not allowed to stop petting her! She purrs and rubs and rolls over for belly scratches. Little miss Orla loves other cats and would be great with another playful kitty, or even an older cat. No bullies, though... Orla is not a fighter and will hide from an aggressive cat. Untested with dogs, but we think she could easily accept a dog who doesn't chase her. She still acts like a kitten dashing up and down the hall and really likes the toys and will pounce on unsuspecting toy mice. This 6 lb girl has a long silky black & white coat that will need occasional grooming (but is not the type to get easily matted). This kitty does get a little too enthusiastic with a lot of petting, and will give gentle love nips when she's purring loudly, so no young children would be best. She is currently being fostered in Lorton, VA so come see her and fall in love! Updated 12/29/14
