My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Peyton has never met an enemy. He greets everyone..(both 2 and 4-legged friends)....with a wagging tail that somehow causes his entire body to wag. He likes adults, kids, smaller dogs, bigger dogs and even the silly cats that he can't quite figure out.

He is a handsome mix of Border Collie, Australian Shepherd and German Shorthair pointer. With genes like that he is going to be one smart dog!

Peyton was brought to a kill shelter along with his siblings at the tender age of 8 weeks this past October. They spent 2 months there and he and his brother were pulled out just in time. He is now making up for lost time and learning new things by the minute. The time in the shelter did not affect him negatively at all and if anything, it has made him more appreciative of being in a foster home and experiencing love.

Despite being only 4 months old he is not at all destructive. He is learning housebreaking skills as well as how to walk on a leash and how to sit quietly and wait for a treat.

Peyton will probably be a medium size dog at around 30-40 pounds. He is already neutered ( he was neutered young enough that he does not mark, which makes housebreaking easier) and is up to date on shots and would just love to meet his forever family and be Home for the Holidays!.

This dog’s adoption fee is $225. Adopters must live within 150 miles or 3 hours drive of the Quad City area.
