My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I'm a 5-year-old spayed female purebred Cocker Spaniel. I weigh about 31 pounds. I am such a sweet, adorable & trusting soul! I'm very affectionate & I love to cuddle with my human friends.

My prior family lost their home & so they couldn't keep me & my brother Bernie. Sadly, they ran out of options & took us to the pound. When I got to the pound I was completely blind. I really relied on my brother to be my "guide dog". It worked out great because he seemed really happy to have me follow him around. However, at the shelter we were separated from one another & it was terrifying. It was the first time in our lives that we'd ever been apart. It was probably harder for me than it was for my brother...I felt completely lost & I had no idea what would happen to me. Blind dogs don't usually get much of a chance at the pound. I thought I'd never see my brother & best pal Bernie again. Things were beginning to look very grim & I was losing hope, but luckily a friendly volunteer at the pound took an interest in us & told CageFree about our plight. CageFree rescued us right away & vowed to keep us together forever! I couldn't have been more elated!!! Me & Bernie back together again...it's like a fairytale! So now, here we are, looking for a home together :)

Since being rescued from the pound, I’ve had surgery to remove the cataracts in my left eye. Sadly, due to advanced Glaucoma, my right eye had to be removed completely. The doctor who performed my surgery said that I am fully visual in my left eye now! I can’t tell you how happy I am to be able to see again!

I am a super affectionate girl & I love people. And, don't worry, missing an eye doesn't hold me back one bit. I get around just fine! I'm such a happy little lady...my tail never stops wagging! I can't wait to find a new family who will love me & my brother forever! I promise I'm not demanding. I'm pretty laid back most of the time. I mostly just like to hang out on a soft doggie bed, snuggle & get showered with love & pets. If you think you could be the right family for me & Bernie, please contact CageFree & tell them you'd like to meet us! We definitely can't wait to meet you :)
