Howdy I'm Rocky! I came to POET with my brother, Bullwinkle. We are 3 year old Jack Russell Terriers. We came from a home with kids of different ages, cats and hung out with dogs of varying sizes too. I am a little bit nervous but very sweet and engaging. I love to be pet and snuggled and walk well on a leash. I am crate trained and housebroken too. I will require a secure yard (I will run if given the chance) and space to run and explore. Please know your breed before considering adopting me. Jack Russells are highly intelligent, active dogs. I need to be mentally stimulated and exercised daily.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rocky, a Garden City Jack Russell Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Jack Russell Terrier for sale in Garden City, or seeking a Jack Russell Terrier dog from a breeder in Garden City.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Garden City already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Garden City breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Jack Russell Terrier breeders who help with Jack Russell Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Garden City paves the way for another one to be saved.
