My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

IDGSR WELCOMES SVEN INTO THE SAFETY OF THE RESCUE!!!!

Sven is a white male German Shepherd and approx. 12-15 months old. He is an X-Large boy however is still very thin due to his previous owners not feeding him well or enough food. That takes time to gain that weight back and the goal is approx. 2lbs. per week, so it can take months to recover however he is healthy and able to go to a new family.

Sven gets along well with most dogs and those also with a proper introduction, he does however seem a bit dominate with other dominate males and we feel he would do just fine as the only male dog in the household, A female dog would be just fine and he loves the girls.

Sven just loves loves loves people. He is a hugger and a kisser and a Lover. He is well behaved in the home, will crate a little begrudgingly, and is compliant and easy going. He will as any of our rescue dogs, benefit from formal obedience training. If you would like to make this sweetheart of a guy a member of your family, please apply to this rescue by copying and pasting the link to our application below.
