Minor Cerebral Hyperplasia: Cerebellar Hypoplasia (cer•e•bel•lar hy•po•pla•sia) is a disorder found in cats and dogs which causes jerky movements, tremors, and generally uncoordinated motion, just like ataxic cerebral palsy in humans. A cat with CH often falls down and has trouble walking or cannot seem to walk at all. CH in cats is non-progressive, meaning it does not get worse with age.
The disorder is very minor. The effects limit him very little. He jumps and plays like a normal cat. He is just a little wobbly and has challenges getting out from under people’s feet.
Mike loves humans. He is often found in the room where the people are. He does well with strangers and all other cats. He has not had exposure to dogs or children but we have no concerns about either of these.
Mike’s favorite toys are stuffed mice. Mike plays fetch. He loves to bring people the mouse and wait for them to toss it. He often “Superman” jumps off laps to fetch it and bring it back. This can go on for hours if the human is game.
Mike loves to snuggle in bed with people. Bed time is also a great time to play fetch! He purrs like a freight train.
Mike has always been with his two brothers and has lived for the last couple months with his foster big brother and sister. He would love a home where there are other cats to snuggle and people to love him up and toss his mice.
