Opal is a female Poodle mix only 1 year in age. She is on the small side, weighing in at 12 pounds full grown. She has been professionally groomed and has a curly, non-shedding soft coat of charcoal gray with brown highlights. She has a pretty white little splash on her chest. Opal is sturdy, chubby, and completely adorable. She is super friendly with absolutely everyone - adults, kids, company, people you meet in public, other dogs. Opal loves them all. She is sunny and cheerful, always wagging her tail no matter what. She is the most affectionate little girl with a big, warm heart of gold. Opal would be an outstanding family dog since she wiggles with joy whenever she gets attention and she loves to be right in the middle of things, enjoying life with everyone around her. Opal would love trips to the park, beach, neighborhood playdates, or anything else you have in mind. She is a happy participant. Opal also loves to cuddle and knows how to settle down for some quiet snuggle time. She rarely barks and she loves to play with toys. Opal has the most well rounded, easy going temperament we've seen in a while. She was rescued from a very high-volume/high-kill shelter where she was brought in stray. Opal is super healthy and ready for her new forever loving home today!

Opal’s adoption donation is $425 (*TAX DEDUCTABLE). She has been SPAYED, MICROCHIPPED, VACCINATED, DEWORMED, DEFLEAED and PROFESSIONALLY GROOMED. Also included is her collar with ID, harness, leash, folder with all of her records, a great PETCO coupon book, and a fun goodie bag with toys, etc.

Opal is being fostered by Pet Match Rescue Foster Volunteer, Edie and is ready for her forever home.

You may meet and apply to adopt Opal at our ADOPTION EVENT on SATURDAY, JANUARY 17th from 12 Noon - 3:00 at PETCO in IRVINE located at 15333 Culver Dr., Irvine, CA 92604. (Our event is held INSIDE of the PETCO store.) adoptpetmatch@gmail.com

Why Adoption is a Great Option

OPAL, a Newport Beach Poodle (Miniature) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Poodle (Miniature) for sale in Newport Beach, or seeking a Poodle (Miniature) dog from a breeder in Newport Beach.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Newport Beach already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Newport Beach breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Poodle (Miniature) breeders who help with Poodle (Miniature) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Newport Beach paves the way for another one to be saved.
