Scully's Story...
I want to believe.
I want to believe there is a family out there for me. A family longing for a lovable canine with a coat of golden fur. A family in search a playmate for their other dog, a family in search a loyal comrade for their respectful children 8+. A family with dog-savvy cats seeking the occasional game of chase. A dog with great crate training skills, and an affectionate and charming personality that is almost supernatural. A family who believes in the existence of a canine who is just perfect for them. I want to believe. Do you? 4 years old-73lbs. My adoption fee is $180 and includes neuter, microchip, reduced-cost training class, free veterinary exam, 1 month pet health insurance, leash/collar, food sample, toy & treat packet.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Scully, a Portland Chow Chow/Golden Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chow Chow/Golden Retriever for sale in Portland, or seeking a Chow Chow/Golden Retriever dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chow Chow/Golden Retriever breeders who help with Chow Chow/Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
