Socks's Story...
Socks is a 2 year old Spaniel/border collie mix. He is definitely a people dog, who loves to play, but can also just sit next to you and get love. He is crate trained and walks well on a leash. He gets along with other dogs. Socks was rescued from a high kill shelter, and is now looking for his new family to bring him home.

He is currently in Lafayette, LA but we transport north every month. Our adoption fee is $375 and includes transport. All LAA dogs are up to date on all vaccinations, spayed or neutered, on heart worm preventative, and microchipped. Please fill out an application at http://www.lafayetteanimalaid.org/adopt/dogs/dog-application/

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Socks, a Denver Springer Spaniel/Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Springer Spaniel/Border Collie for sale in Denver, or seeking a Springer Spaniel/Border Collie dog from a breeder in Denver.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Denver already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Denver breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Springer Spaniel/Border Collie breeders who help with Springer Spaniel/Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Denver paves the way for another one to be saved.
