ATTICUS & MOLLY- ADOPTION PEND's Story...
You may submit an adoption application for Molly and Atticus at www.abgra.org. Inquiries may be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Do you want to be worshiped? Want to feel like a celebrity, with unwavering followers? Now’s your chance. There is no such thing as the perfect dog, nor is there any such thing as the perfect TWO dogs – but Atticus (5yr old Affenpinscher) and Molly (8-10yr old Brussels Griffon) are about as close as it gets. They get along GREAT with other dogs (as you can see in the video), and have no issues with cats. Both these dogs are highly food motivated so it makes training very easy. Plus they are both housetrained if they have ample opportunities to go outside!
Meet Mollicus – the Brangelina of the dog world! These two little dogs will worship the ground on which you walk. You will never be uncertain on where they are in the house. They will follow you to the end of the earth. They’re like puppies the way they play – only they’re better than puppies because they’re potty trained and they understand when it’s time to chillax. When it IS time to settle down they’ll fall asleep on the floor next to you, or on your lap. They comically wrestle, sit on one another, walk over one another, sleep on top of one another – seriously it doesn’t get more entertainingly cute than Mollicus.
Molly is a beautiful, loving smooth coat Brussels Griffon comedienne, who charms everyone she meets! She will make you smile every day. She is somewhere between 8-10 yrs old, but Griffs are a very long lived breed so she has many years left to bring joy into your home. Molly is a little chubby, and will soon be down to her ideal weight of around 12-13 lbs.
Atticus is a handsome, sweet, shy 5 yr old Affenpinscher boy with natural ears and tail, who should weigh around10-11 lbs. Sadly, due to the owner’s health issues she couldn’t groom Atticus like he needed. When they were acquired in rescue, he was so matted they couldn’t distinguish the front from the back of him which is why he has been shaved so close. He will soon have his beautiful Affen coat back and will wear sweaters till then! He was fearful of men at first, but he’s a little lover if approached slowly. A home without children would be best for this reason.
These two loving, adorable dogs need to be adopted together. They came to us because their aged owner could no longer care for them. Their loving owner virtually lived for them so they are well adjusted dogs. They would be happiest with someone that works from home, can take them to work with them or is retired. When you need to run errands, they are OK home alone for a few hours, as long as they have each other. They would like a securely fenced yard to explore, a walk every day and just to hang out with you as much as possible. They must always be securely harnessed and leashed outside a fenced area and crated or seat belted in the back seat when in a vehicle.
Molly and Atticus are UTD on vaccinations, spayed/neutered, heart worm negative and taking preventative. They are being fostered near Sioux Falls South Dakota and we prefer to place them within a few hours driving distance. Our dogs may never be shipped in cargo and we do not transport them to adoptive homes. They are never placed in homes with invisible (electric) fencing. Doggy doors are OK as long as they are secured at night and when you are gone. Molly and Atticus are small enough to be carried away by a coyote or other predator so should never be outside alone.
