found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.
I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, and good with dogs.
Jerry is so very sweet and shy until he gets to know you. He was from a hoarding abuse case so he loves dogs and is unsure of people. However he is learning to trust, and being young, he will gradually accept that the world is good. Jerry appears to be Border Collie, Spaniel mix...maybe lab thrown in. He is a medium sized dog. He quickly showed himself to be housetrained in his fosters home. Jerry loves to play fetch...just not bring it back. He is submissive to other dogs and likes to play. At one years old he has much to learn, but with patience and positive reinforcement Jerry will bloom.
Here is what his foster has learned about Jerry. "Jerry is new to the city as he is from Northern Quebec, so city noises are new to him. He is getting more comfortable walking, but still spooks from loud car noises, and strangers coming close, especially children as he was not used to them. He rides well in the car, comes to his name and likes his crate. Jerry plays well with other dogs, he is smart and very trainable. Jerry is good at the vets and the groomers. In the house he likes to lay down close by and play with his toys, and at night sleeps on the floor in the bedroom. He is housetrained." Jerry has already come a long way in his foster home and given a home that allows him to develop a trusting bond and let him move ahead on his own pace he will become a much more confident dog.
Jerry has been neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, heart worm checked, Revolution given, and microchipped. His adoption fee of $375.00 includes his health records. To meet Jerry please go to www.animalert.ca and fill out a dog application. Or call 519-642-7732.
