My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

MOZART
Born October 2014, Male Tabby Highlander Mix
For those looking for American Bobtail; there is no highlander choice on Adopt a Pet, so we had to pick the closest look-alike

COURTESY POST

OMG...how cute this little guy is! Here is little Mozart with his long, silky hair, straight ears, straight little paws and the short tail of the Highlander. Little Mozart is very loving and people oriented like all Highlanders. He is like a little dog in that he follows his foster mom around, sits next to her and sleeps with her. Even though he plays with all the other 12 kitties in his foster home, he’d rather be near people. He is so cute when he sits next to his foster mom and immediately starts to knead contently.

Highlanders can be trained to fetch and walk with a leash. He has tabby marking and his toes are white and black. Since they look like a piano keyboard, his foster mom decided to call him Mozart.
According to some Internet research, the Highlander cat will steal your heart with their fun loving nature and crazy antics. This breed is extremely affectionate, gentle and also very playful. These kitties love to be the center of attention; they are high energy cats with an inquisitive nature. They love to chase and play. This playful behavior helps build a powerful muscular body, which is so characteristic of the breed. Highlander cats get on well with children, dogs and other cats. Highlanders make a great fun loving addition to any family.

Darn, if I wouldn’t already have three kitties of my own, I’d adopt him in a heartbeat, types the volunteer who posted his bio.

If you would like more information on Mozart, please contact Maria at dashenka2011@gmail.com, or send an Adoption Application.
Please note that Mozart is not in a Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue foster home but residing with his caretaker in Merced, CA.
NOTE: We always require families with children to bring their children to the adoption appointment, so we can observe the child’s behavior and how the cat reacts. A mismatch between a child and a cat is not in anyone’s best interest!
