Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Yates is a 7 year old neutered black Lab who weighs 85 pounds. He is a very sweet dog who just wants to be loved on. He loves getting belly rubs and has a great lab lean when he gets his back scratched. He is a perfect gentleman in the house and a champion snuggler. He would love to cuddle up on the couch or sleep next to you at night! Yates is very smart and knows commands such as sit, down, and touch. He is a quick learner and very treat-motivated. Yates rarely begs from the table and does not counter surf, although he may not be able to resist something left out at his level. Yates likes to go for walks - he comes running when he hears his leash being picked up and knows what the word "outside" means! He is still working on his leash manners and can pull a bit, especially when he smells something interesting. He knows the commands "watch" (look at person) and "find it" (search for treats on the ground) to help him re-focus. He pulls on a leash when walking and would do best with an easy walk harness. While he is not a high energy dog, a yard where he can sniff around the bushes and keep the critters away would be great. He needs a slow introduction to other dogs but then does great with them. Yates enjoys doing nose work games and will do just about anything for a peanut butter Kong. He doesn't have much interest in other toys but he does like a pillow or stuffed animal to rest his head on and snuggle up with. He seems to like water and will hop in the tub for a bath - I think he would also enjoy swimming.
Yates does NOT like the car and cries during car rides, he has never been sick he just talks and tells you that you are mean. Yates is approved for kids ages 10+. More info to follow!!
