My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Update 12/14/14: This last week Ty has settled in nicely! He had his vet check and a dental done! He is healthy but had to have 2 retained puppy molars removed. He came through that procedure with flying colors! He is getting more comfortable with my husband and will now let him pet, pick him up and love on him! He is still nervous sometimes and paces but has started to relax more as the week went on. He has found that he likes to lay on the sofa and even lays with our cat! He is also now going to the door when he needs out! He really is a sweet heart and just needs to realize people aren't bad. So the love and attention he is receiving so far has helped him come out of his shell! I am pleased at how far he has come so far. We are still working on his resource guarding, it just may take a bit more trust on his part to get over it, but I think we will get there!



Initial Bio 12/08/14: Ty (Indy) is a 4 year old neutered male who has had a rough start. His previous owner was gone 12-14 hours a day so Ty has been left alone since he was a puppy. So far he seems very sweet. He is showing signs of resource guarding so I will be working on that. Most of his issues have to do with no socialization and little interaction with his people so he just doesn't know how to act. He is getting along with my small poodle but does not like our big dog! He also is fine with our cat and likes playing with my 2 and 6 year old. We are brushing up his social skills, reminding him about potty habits and working on leash manners so hopefully with some much needed love and attention he will be ready for his furever home!
