Frankie's Story...
I had a really rough start in life. I was picked up on the streets then taken to the vet by a Dallas rescue group. They didn't have room for me, so they asked Kitty Save to take me. I can't tell you how scared I was. Kitty Save worked very hard to show me that I was safe and loved, and it took a few months before I believed that I was never going to be on the streets again.

The day that I purred, I made lots of people happy. So, I like to purr because I like to see happy people. Although I can be a little reserved, I'm pretty good at coming around and being a great companion. I've been described as an old man in a cat's body. Whatever.

And finally, I am up for adoption. It's been a long road but so worth it. One day, I get to find my new family!

I currently live at The Charming Cat Corner in Vista Ridge mall. Please come see me and all my kitty pals.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Frankie, a The Colony Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in The Colony, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in The Colony.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in The Colony already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a The Colony breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in The Colony paves the way for another one to be saved.
