Lucky's Story...
I could write a book about how I was saved. Someone found me cornered by some stray dogs who didn't have nice plans for me. She chased the dogs away then found Kitty Save to take me in. But I was really a teeny baby and needed someone to feed me with a bottle. I was then taken to a Bottle Baby Nanny who gave me lots of support and most of all -- love!

While I was there, another baby kitten arrived and we were raised together. We like each other and have learned what it's like to play with other kitties and with doggies.

I was adopted last year, but my family could no longer afford pets, so I was returned to Kitty Save. I now live at The Charming Cat Corner in Vista Ridge Mall. Please come see me. I'd love to get to know you!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lucky, a The Colony Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in The Colony, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in The Colony.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in The Colony already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a The Colony breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in The Colony paves the way for another one to be saved.
