Here's what the humans have to say about me:
✰✰ JOJO, Male ten months of age and #AVAILABLE – For more photos of JOJO please click http://www.norcalbcrescue.org/jojo.html ✰✰
JOJO is a 10 month old male Border Collie/Kelpie mix. JOJO weighs a lean 55 lbs and has a beautiful, soft medium/short coat. His best feature has to be his wonderfully expressive eyes, and he is as sweet as they come. He didn't have the greatest start in life. He spent most of his days in a backyard, alone. He didn't even get to sleep in the house at night, he slept on the porch. Still, he has not let this not-so-easy start dampen his playful and trusting spirit; nor does he act attention starved, as one might expect, given the limited attention he received early on. JOJO loves to play! He will chase the ball, he will chase the toys, he will even chase you if you romp with him. After a good round of play he will lay quietly on his dog bed or in his crate (check out JOJO and Jack sharing a pillow break below!). But with the next hint of play activity, he is ready to resume the game. JOJO is a medium to high energy dog who will need daily exercise.
JOJO loves engaging with other dogs, though he may be a bit too playfully exuberant for some. He is cat curious and will try to get the cat to play, but will also leave the cat be when told to do so. JOJO is very loving and will crawl right up in your lap if you let him. He crates really well at night and uses the dog door to go potty outside. JOJO is learning his leash manners quickly and is still getting used to getting into the car, but has figured out car rides means we get to go have some fun! He would love to find a hiking partner for walks in the woods or at the beach. In sum, JOJO is young, goofy and comes with a heart of gold. He needs some direction and for his training to be continued, but all he wants and needs is to be part of the family. He would make an really excellent family and companion dog.
JOJO is micro-chipped, neutered, heart worm negative and on preventative, and up to date on vaccinations. If you have an approved Northern California Border Collie Rescue & Adoptions Adoption Application (http://norcalbcrescue.org/adopt_info.html) and wish to enquire about JOJO, please email us at Adoptions@norcalbcrescue.org. If you have an approved adoption application with Border Collie Rescue of Northern California let us know and we will request it be forwarded to us for consideration.
JOJO is being fostered in Folsom in Sacramento County, California.
