My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hazel is just a baby. Born Approx. October 2014. She is a German Shepard and absolutely stunning. But more importantly she has a heart as pure as gold. She is the sweetest and most happy little puppy. You see Hazel has a lot to be happy about. She is a survivor. Hazel was surrendered by her "owners" after being locked in their garage for her entire short life. She then ingested something toxic ... our vet suspects some kind of drug. Well very long story short the president of PFP rushed this dying puppy to our emergency hoping to save her. She was so close to death - we prepared for the worst. But Hazel is strong & amazingly she pulled through !!! Hazel had completely lost her eye sight and all of her hearing but miraculously has made almost a full recovery. She has regained her eye sight and almost all of her hearing. Our vet says that it is still possible she could make a full recovery but until then we will mark her as "special needs" as her potential adopters must be willing to work with Hazel if she does not regain all her hearing and understand and limitations she may have because of it. Her foster mom has been working with her and using sign language as well to communicate. With the right home and family Hazel will be supported and have the best life no matter how rocky her beginning ... We think she deserves it. Do you?

Hazel loves to play with her foster brother, gets along great with her kitty friends and loves ALL people. She stays busy with her stuffed kong toy and loves to nap and relax as well. She is an all around great pup.

Hazel has had to overcome many obstacles to get where she is today. We know the right family is out there somewhere for this sweet girl. Hazel's adoption fee is 300$ and that will include her spay, microchip and she will be UTD.
