Jimmy's Story...
Jimmy is a 9-10 yr old chihuahua, looking for a home to spend his golden years. Someone who is retired or works from home would be ideal. Once he trusts you,he just want to hang with you on his bed or your couch. He loves car rides, belly rubs and his back and ears scratched. :)He would do best as the only dog or maybe one small dog(no puppies) that is older, and no children. Jimmy is paper-trained,and does ok with the belly bands, but we believe based on a foster experience he could be trained to be housebroken with consistent and patient training. He does have a thyroid condition, and is on medication to help keep it regulated.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jimmy, a Morgantown Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Morgantown, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Morgantown.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Morgantown already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Morgantown breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Morgantown paves the way for another one to be saved.
