Hours are Mon-Fri Noon-4 pm (closed holidays)

CMACC is a professional animal care facility where the welfare of animals is our top priority.

Due to the overwhelming number of calls and the limited available shelter workers to answer them, please do not call to ask for more information regarding animals. We will try to include all known information on the sites where the animal is listed for adoption. If something is left out, it is because we do not have this information available. Most of the animals that come into CMACC have come to the shelter as strays, and we have no background information. If you are interested in an animal, we ask that you plan to visit the shelter between noon and 4 pm Monday-Friday, (excluding holidays), to visit the animal yourself.

Because we are so short staffed, we cannot make appointments for after hours or weekend visits.

Most of the animals that come to our shelter were previously strays. We have no background info or vaccination or health history unless we vetted them. We do not DNA test the animals before adoption, so we do not know actual breed(s) of the animals. Ages are approximate.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mason, a Sauk Rapids Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Sauk Rapids, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Sauk Rapids.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sauk Rapids already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sauk Rapids breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sauk Rapids paves the way for another one to be saved.
