Sam*URGENT*'s Story...
Sam is a Shelter Puppy Dog:
adoption date is 4-21-08 and can be put to sleep any time after the adoption date. As of this Month Pooch is still at the shelter in need of rescue

Both Sam & Sophie (brother & sister) came to the shelter together, they do not have to be adopted together, but if you're searching for 2 dogs, these two get along great, the have been together all of their lives. They're around 10 years old, Sophie Size: Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg), Sam Size: Large 61-100 lbs (28-45 kg) walk on a leash, sit when asked, appear to be VERY sweet & loving, happy, full of love & fun, pretty well mannered, playful, and are two special dogs in need of a family(s) to love. NO CATS, they were turned over to the shelter for chasing and putting to death a cat

Dawn gave a little test by looking in their mouth, pulling on ears and tails, holding each of their paws and giving little kisses and hugs. Both Sam & Sophie appeared to past the test with no problems, they appear to be such sweet easy to get attached to dogs, If you have a home with no cats, one or both of these dogs may just fit right in as your new companion(s). Like all of our shelter dogs, we suggest a well fenced yard for Sam & Sophie to play and be safe in. We feel they may make outstanding loving & super loyal family member(s) as well as companion(s). If you wish, Sam & Sophie can be tested around Dogs here at the shelter NO Cats .

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sam*URGENT*, a Grass Valley Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Grass Valley, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Grass Valley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Grass Valley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Grass Valley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Grass Valley paves the way for another one to be saved.
