My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Blackie is a big sweetheart! She is 7-8 years old, and was brought to our shelter after her owner passed away. She is a quiet, friendly and solitary/independent type cat. She enjoys roaming the rooms around shelter, and likes to take naps in our blanket storage bins. She has been around other cats and mellow dogs, and does not mind them as long as they don't bully her or chase her around.

Blackie has always been an indoor cat, and would like a quiet adult home without a lot of noise and commotion. She does chase cat toys once in a while, but mostly likes to hang out around our office area and take naps in quiet places. She would be a great match for a home looking for a mature age cat.

Blackie has been spayed, and is up to date on vaccinations. She qualifies for our Free Seniors for Seniors adoption program (free adoption for people over 60 adopting a pet over 7 years of age). She will also be microchipped prior to adoption.

If you are interested in Blackie, please contact our office or stop by and ask to meet her.

An adoption application is required to adopt an animal from our Humane Society. Our application is available online, or by contacting us. We accept completed applications via email, postal mail or at our office. Visit our website for more adoption information.
