I found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.

Montery's Info...

I am already neutered, purebred, up to date with shots, good with dogs, and not good with cats.

Montery's Story...
I am a master of companionship. ‘Montery the Captain of Compatibility’ they used to call me in my formative years. But don't you think that I am out to sea! I still have the right stuff, believe your britches! Even though I will probably never learn to get along with cats, I have put in a valiant effort at learning this crate training. So I say to heck with ‘old dog’ stereotyping; yes we can learn new tricks! I get along with the other dogs in the play yard, and as an elder I command respect from children 10+. A mature man such as myself wishes to be treated with a gentle hand and a soft heart. Let's chart a course for love and camaraderie! Full steam ahead! 7 years old-68lbs. My adoption fee is $140 and includes microchip, neuter, reduced-cost training class, free veterinary exam, 1 month pet health insurance, leash/collar, food sample, toy & treat packet.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Montery, a Portland Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Portland, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
