Patches is a friendly, sweet, and energetic young boy. He came into rescue via a local shelter where he went unclaimed. He had a history of running away from home, and after being picked up several times by Animal Control, his family let him go.

This little nugget has a wonderful personality: he is super cute, funny, and just plain happy! Patches has fantastic energy. He loves to play, but he also keeps himself entertained by digging through the toy box or just zooming from one room to the other, showing off whatever toy he currently has in his mouth.

Patches gets along well with the resident Springers, and he does pretty well with the cat. It did not take long for him to adapt to his new environment and friends. He loves kids and has enjoyed interacting with everyone he has come in contact with.

Patches knows the command Sit, and he is working on other commands. He walks well on a leash, and he is crate trained and housetrained. At night Patches sleeps on a dog bed in the bedroom on the floor, and he is only crated when nobody is home.

Patches is a wonderful dog, and he is looking for an equally wonderful place to call home. Of course he will need a securely fenced yard to keep him safe. He would do well in just about any situation where he will receive lots of love, attention, and care. If this delightful dynamo appeals to you, please contact his case managers right away at the e-mail address below.

Please note that an approved adoption application is the first step in a more thorough interview process that is designed to match each dog to exactly the right family, and that the final decision rests with the dog's case manager.

Please read the Adoption FAQ and get an Adoption Application approved before inquiring about Patches.
