Moreno's Story...
Playful and active Chihuahua mix boy ready to delight. Moreno came to BrightSide as a stray. He is approximately 3 years old and weighs almost 14 pounds. Moreno is a friendly and happy little guy. He loves going for his walk in the morning and is most cooperative with the collaring and leashing process. He seeks his walkers' attention, hoping for little rubs or a bit of ball chasing. Moreno is good with other dogs (though meet and greet opportunities with existing pets are so important) preferring smaller dogs to bigger dogs. Hey, he is only 14 pounds! He is decidedly not cat friendly. Though we are happy to have Moreno's company he would be oh so happy in a home where he could entertain and be loved. If you think your home is the right place for this delightful little guy, please contact us about Moreno. Adoption applications are available (1) online -, or (2) email request to or (3) at BrightSide Animal Center in Redmond, OR. Adoption fees include spay/neuter, current vaccinations, microchip, free veterinary wellness visit the first week and a month's free pet insurance.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Moreno, a Redmond Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Redmond, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Redmond.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Redmond already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Redmond breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Redmond paves the way for another one to be saved.
