Donatello's Story...
5 male puppies part of the Ninja Turtle litter. They will be available for adoption after Jan. 26, 2015 when they are 8 weeks old. Mom is Mitzy - Lab mix and Dad is a full size Aussie. Both were in our rescue and Dad has been adopted. Mom and puppies are available for adoption. We do have 2 apps pending on puppies - we do not know which ones are taken and which ones are available as we are letting pre-approved adopters meet the puppies and pick out which one they want, when the puppies receive their first vaccination at 5 weeks old...we will then to in the order of how the apps came in. If interested, please apply now to get a chance to adopt one of them. Adoption fee of $350 includes deworming and vaccinations up to adoption date and also a neuter when they turn 6 months old at one of our approved rescue vets.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Donatello, a Huntley Australian Shepherd/Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd/Labrador Retriever for sale in Huntley, or seeking a Australian Shepherd/Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Huntley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Huntley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Huntley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Australian Shepherd/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Huntley paves the way for another one to be saved.
