My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi People!
My name is Robbie and I’m a delightful, cuddly and well-behaved bichon boy of six who was blessed with a happy smile and some crazy teeth. Mom says that when I smile I’m absolutely adorable – and that I’m a real lover boy. Dad says I’m happiest when I’m curled up in the crook of his or Mom’s arm. There is no doubt that being with my humans is the most important thing in the world to me.
My foster parents say I’m always happy to meet neighbors and their doggies when we walk, and that I was both amazing and wonderful with the housekeeper. Why I didn't mind her running all over the house or even vacuuming. I just took it in stride, as that’s the kind of little guy I am.
My favorite toy is a soft stuffed dog bone- or maybe it’s my stuffed Tweety Bird. I like to toss him in the air a few times, race back to Mom and Dad, and then do it all over again. Mom says I’m a champion retriever. I tell her “No, silly Mom! I’m a bichon!”
I also learn things very quickly. I already know “sit”, “stay”, and” no” and am very polite. I walk very nicely on the leash and quickly learned to wait at the front door until Mom says "OK".
I also love the backyard! I like to roll around in the grass, and then perch on the little wall to survey the world below me. Then it’s back to cuddling next to Mom and Dad on the couch, stretching way out, rolling over on my back and going to sleep. Speaking of which, Mom says I am definitely a cuddle bug. I think she means that I love to snuggle whenever I can – oh! and hop into the Big People’s bed when it’s night time (and sleep contentedly right between her and Dad.)
When someone new comes to the door, I bark appropriately but am always gentle and friendly with everyone. It sometimes takes me a few minutes to build trust then I’m all yours for petting and cuddling.
Did I mention that I’m housebroken- and that I don’t have separation anxiety? I’m so good that Mom and Dad can leave me alone for a few hours and I do just fine. Of course when they come home it’s my happy time – and I greet them with a smile and a happy dance.
I’m best with adults and can also be an only pup. So if you are looking for a lover boy who is quiet, well behaved, intelligent and cuddly, please ask for me. I’ll be waiting to meet you.
Smiles and tail wags.
Remarkably Memorable Robbie
