TRUMAN's Story...
Please meet truman. The picture of him in the kennel is enough to break your heart. This boy was hidden in a part of the shelter where only rescues are allowed to go. He was scared - which, we believe, shows good judgement. He was in one of the most notoriously high-killing shelters in the country. If he was scared, it was for good reason. Truman brightened up almost the moment he left the shelter. He has been an absolute gentleman as a house guest, is good with other dogs, kids and cats. He is the definition of what deserves saving from the shelter. We are so happy to have him.

Truman's adoption fee is $250 and will include his neutering, microchip, and vaccinations. If you are interested in Truman, please send us an email at wilsonanimalrescue@yahoo.com and request an adoption application.

Thanks for learning more about Truman, and most of all, thank you for considering a rescue!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

TRUMAN, a Nashville Labrador Retriever/Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Boxer for sale in Nashville, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Boxer dog from a breeder in Nashville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Nashville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Nashville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Boxer breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Nashville paves the way for another one to be saved.
