My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Dunn! Dunn was surrendered by his owner to a high kill shelter in Tennessee along with his brother Brooks. Both Brooks and Dunn are available for adoption. Their previous owners were not very good people because both brothers were extremely emaciated. You could count every bone in their body. We think there should have been animal neglect charges brought against former owners but sadly no charges were filed. When we first saw Brooks and Dunn we knew without a doubt we had to save them. They were the sweetest, loving boys despite their past. Their birthday is estimated to be 1/11/14 which makes them almost a year old. They are both very loyal and will be easy to train. They both have put on much needed weight and are now the gorgeous boys we knew they could be.

Dunn can be a bit skittish at first but once he warms up to you he will love you to pieces. He is still working on walking on a leash. We believe Dunn has been abused. We feel someone may have tied him up and whipped him in his past. He is overcoming this fear as time goes by. Dunn loves people of all ages and is good with other dogs. He has not been around cats but we are guessing he will be just fine with them. He likes to play with the rope toys his foster mom gave him and his brother Brooks. Dunn really just wants to be with a human who will love him and never let him go without food again. He needs to be reassured he is a good boy. He is very affectionate and loves it when his foster mom sits down with him so he can lay his head in her arms. He loves belly rubs and welcomes as many as you will give him. Dunn also loves to go on hikes with his foster mom. He is getting better on the leash everyday but will stay with you off leash as well.

Dunn is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, is heartworm negative and on preventatives. All Dunn really needs now is a place to call home. He will love his family unconditionally. He needs a patient family who will understand he has been mistreated and needs to be reassured often that he is good boy and loved for the amazing dog he truly is. If you are looking to adopt, look no further, Dunn is the boy for you. ADOPTION FEE $450
