My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Little Tootsie is just as cute as can be. Tootsie and his six brothers and sisters were found as strays in Houston Texas. A very nice person, who thought they were doing the right thing, brought the litter to shelter. They thought this was giving them a chance at life, but really, they were just going to be euthanized right away because the shelter was too overcrowded. The Farfels Rescue team just could not let that happen to these cute babies so we saved them just hours before their death.
Tootsie and his litter mates are Tibetan Terrier Beagle mixes, or as we like to call them Teagles :) Tootsie is 14 weeks old and weighs about 13lbs. Tootsie just wants to play with his brothers and sister, and snuggle with his humans. He is a very happy-go-lucky little guy.
Tootsie and his litter had something that is called dermatitus. Because of this they have hair loss in some areas. The dermatitus has been treated and cured, we just need some patience while their beautiful coats grow back in. This has zero effect on their future health.
We are searching for the most loving home for this exceptional guy so he learns positive skills resulting in a strong bond with his family. We would also like a home where the family is present...it can be a retired couple or individual who has the energy and patience for a young pup. Or a family with children that choose to include their pet in their daily lives. Since Tootsie will require training to mold him into a great and bonded adult companion, we feel strongly about puppy socialization classes and later Obedience to promote good behavior and peaceful relationships with humans and dogs. It's also important that Tootsie is given mental stimulation and lots of exercise. It's never too early to start teaching leash manners on the incredible trails of Colorado....this will develop Tootsie into a fit and stable companion.
Tootsie and his brother and sisters will be arriving to us very soon. If you are interested, please fill out an application at Farfelsrescue.com
