Magdalena's Story...
Magdalena is about 1 year old and is all puppy. She has a very loving disposition but has a ton of energy so lots of exercise is a must for this excitable girl. She has lived the life of an outdoor dog all of her life and came in with a severe case of mange. She is now beautiful inside and out and is completely healthy and mange free. Magdalena would do well with almost any other dogs and would also do well with children. She will need some training on how to behave and not potty in the house, but with the amazing personality that comes with her it will be worth it. She has come a long way and would like to take the next big step in her life and find a home to call her own.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Magdalena, a Martinsville Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Collie for sale in Martinsville, or seeking a Collie dog from a breeder in Martinsville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Martinsville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Martinsville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Collie breeders who help with Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Martinsville paves the way for another one to be saved.
