Antonella's Story...
Looking for a pretty kitty to brush while relaxing at home? You’ve found her!

The regal Antonella came to us from a high-kill facility and when you look into her eyes, you’ll know, she’s just been waiting for you all along! With her long whiskers and striking coat, Antonella might play the part of the aloof cat from time to time but take her home and watch as her personality flourishes and she becomes your steady companion.

Equal parts kitten and adult, Antonella is at home playing with you and napping lazily in the sun. She’s happy to be at Friends For Life but she’s been waiting for someone to offer her a forever home and companionship for life. Won’t you be Antonella’s angel and take her into your family?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Antonella, a Houston Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Houston, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
