Tiger's Story...
This big mush face is Tiger! He is a 5 year old English Bulldog, weighing in at close to 80 pounds. Tiger is incredibly sweet and friendly (he's quite the ham really!), but it's also important to understand that he's energetic, strong & stubborn, and still learning some of his basic manners. He has done very well with dogs he's met so far, but we are looking for a home with no young children as he can easily knock a young one over. Tiger is crate trained, but not fully house trained and will have occasional accidents in the home (his foster parents are currently working with him on this).

Tiger is up to date on vaccinations and will be neutered prior to adoption. If you are interested in adopting Tiger, please complete an application from www.ruffstarthappytails.org

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tiger, a Wethersfield English Bulldog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a English Bulldog for sale in Wethersfield, or seeking a English Bulldog dog from a breeder in Wethersfield.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Wethersfield already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Wethersfield breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even English Bulldog breeders who help with English Bulldog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Wethersfield paves the way for another one to be saved.
