Here's what the humans have to say about me:
**CHECK OUT MY MOVIE - I'm a star! **
Hey there, I'm Meril! I'm a serious, quiet boy who has excellent house manners and loves to greet you with a stuffie in my mouth!
I came from a shelter with ear infections so bad that I had to go to the vet immediately to get them cleaned out. I'm neutered, up to date on vaccines, and my ears are on their way to being fully healed.
I know how to sit and wait for my dinner, and am ready to be loved and petted all day long. I can be left alone in the house and don't touch a thing, but I do whine when you leave--you take all of the fun with you! In fact, I'm a talker--I whine and bark at you to let you know all sorts of things. I bark to come back in after I pee. I whine when I need fresh water or want to be petted. Occasionally, I snort and snuffle like a piggy when I'm being silly. My human thinks it's really funny!!
In the past, humans have not been very nice to me, but I'm slowly learning in my foster home that I won't be hit and I don't need to cower when my people (especially men) move too fast. I'm pretty good on leash and am walking daily, seeing the sights in my quiet neighborhood. My foster mom introduced to a small black animal she called a cat who hissed and spat at me, and I was OK with that--she seemed pretty impressed, but I say I won't bother you if you won't bother me!
