Hi! My name is Marlon. Although I'm living the life of love in foster care, I do have a sad story. I was left in a wire crate on a street corner on a chilly October day. I had no food, no water, no litterbox and no way to stay warm. Luckily, a city contractor found me and brought me to Animal Control before the elements or something else got to me. I am a GREAT cat! I am friendly and loving. I am also declawed. I enjoy lots of pets and scratches. I get along fine with other cats. I am so happy to be out of the shelter and in a loving foster care home. I use a litterbox like a good boy. Some of my favorite things are having my ears scratched, sitting in my comfy kitty bed and sitting on my foster mom's lap. I am looking forward to finding my forever human that will love me for life. I am a little chunky and could stand to lose a few pounds. I weigh 19 lbs, but that is just more of me for you to love. Saturday, June 20, 2015: Adoption Event at PetPeople, 6520 Telegraph Rd., Bloomfield Hills. From noon to 4 p.m., come meet adoptable dogs, cats, puppies and kittens (as available - not all adoptable animals will be at every event). Adoption event dates for 2015: June 20, July 18, August 15, September 19, October 17, November 21 and December 19.

Adoption Process:Complete the application at
www.pawsforliferescue.org. We then arrange a location, date and time for you to meet some pets. If the meeting goes well and everyone is happy, you begin the mandatory, minimum two-week adjustment period with the pet as part of your family. You will pay the non-refundable adoption fee at the start of the two-week adjustment period. This pending period allows your new dog or cat time to adjust to their new home, new people, new routine, etc., and for you to decide if it's a match and the right pet for you. At the end of two weeks (some people extend the adjustment time as needed and that's fine too), if everyone is happy, then we finalize the adoption. Feel free to email if you have any questions.
