Description: Patra, short for Cleopatra, is a quiet and calm 4 1/2 year old all black female. She likes to find comfy places to hide and sleep but also enjoys laying on laps once she gets to know and trust you. She had once lived with another female cat, so could attempt to be in a home with another cat again. Patra likes to play chase with the laser pointer and toss around her small mice. She loves ear scratches, pets and temptations treats. She is not very fond of being picked up- more of an on her own terms type of gal. If you are interested in Patra please contact current foster Emily (920)3272222 Baste016@umn.edu

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cleopatra, a Anoka Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Anoka, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Anoka.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Anoka already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Anoka breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Anoka paves the way for another one to be saved.
