My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sadie and her friend/sibling, Buster, are Yorkshire Terrier mixes. Sadie is about 3 yrs old and currently weighs about 15lbs. (Her good buddy, Buster, is slightly larger.) These two were picked up together as strays by animal control. When their owner never came to reclaim them at the shelter and they became at risk for euthanization, Friends of Canines Animal Rescue stepped in to give them safe haven in foster care. We are so happy that we did because these two are just a precious pair! Well behaved, housetrained, and have learned how to use a dog door!

Both Sadie and Buster seek love and attention and like to be held. These two were someone's good dogs. We were happy to be there for them when they needed us and thus, give them a second chance at finding a loving home. Both of these dogs were severely matted when we rescued them. (As you may already know, this is a breed mix that requires a groomer from time to time.) Their coat was in such poor condition when we rescued them that we had to clip the hair on their body short. We are happy to say that their coat is growing back nicely and both are healthy and and doing well. Sadie and Buster LOVE to go for a walk and they are a pleasure to walk on the leash. They also ride well in the car too. They are crate trained as well and keep their crate clean and dry.

Sadie is spayed, current on vaccinations, and microchipped. (Buster is also neutered, current on vaccs, and microchipped.) We think that these two might be siblings but we KNOW that they are certainly a bonded pair. We would like to try to find them a home together. These two are a very sweet and loving pair. We are very happy that we were there for them when they needed us. In our foster home, Sadie and Buster seem to do okay with our other small, medium, and large sized foster dogs. We are not sure how they do with cats. A meet and greet might tell us more in terms of how they might get along with your pet(s).

If you are interested in adopting Sadie (and hopefully her best buddy Buster too), please check out our adoption process on our website, www.friendsofcanines.org fill out an adoption application. If you have any further questions, feel free to e-mail us at rescue@friendsofcanines.org

The adoption fee for Buster is $150.
Thank you for considering one of our foster pets.
