Donald's Story...
This adorable little guy is Donald, a 5 month old kitten that would just love to know what it feels like to have a home of his own. Donald came to us with his mom and siblings as a stray little family. Donald had a tough start in life and needed lots of good medical care, so he spent some time in our cat hospital and was then fostered by one of our vet techs until he received his clean bill of health. Donald is absolutely thriving now! He's happy, healthy, and ready for a home. Donald has shown that he is one of the most playful and lovable kittens around, and he is always up for having fun and making friends. He absolutely loves everyone he meets and you can't walk by him without having his little paw reach out to you and give you a gentle pat, so you'll give him some attention. Donald is fun loving and outgoing, and he would transition easily into any great home. He gets along just fine with other cats and loves people of all ages. He is eager to begin his life with a loving family that will give him the lifetime of happiness that he deserves. File#24041 10/15/14

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Donald, a Forked River Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Forked River, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Forked River.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Forked River already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Forked River breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Forked River paves the way for another one to be saved.
