This is Jenny. We think that she is a pretty tri-colored, long haired Chihuahua. She has the softest, lovely, long fur coat. We are not certain if she has a touch of Pomeranian in her or maybe Papillon? Just a guess! She enjoys belly rubs, likes to be held and petted. She seems to get along fairly well with our other small breed foster dogs. She can be a little stand-offish of strangers when she first meets them.

Jenny is about 7 yrs old and is currently a little overweight at 18 lbs. We rescued Jenny and her son, Travis, from a shelter in our area. They are pretty close and enjoy wrestling and playing with each other. We would like to find them a home where they can go together as they are a bonded pair.

Jenny is crate trained, rides well in the car, and walks fairly well on a leash. Jenny is fully vaccinated, spayed, and microchipped. Jenny would love to be someone's number one girl. She would make a good companion for the right person. Jenny will need a patient owner that will give her time to win her over. Travis is very out-going and will walk right up to a stranger and go and say hello. Jenny and Travis are looking for a good home

About Friends of Canines Animal Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

We are located in Tracy, California and work with shelters in our area. We try to save dogs that are in danger of euthanization and give them a temporary home until we find a family for them. We housetrain them and teach them to live in a home environment. We offer socialization to our rescue dogs by walking them, taking them with us as often as possible, and work with them to get along with other foster dogs in our home. Lastly, before adopting a dog out to a new family, we do a home check to ensure that the rescue dog is a good match for the new adopters. If the new adoption does not work out in your home, we will welcome the dog back at any time. In this way, we hope that both you and the dog will be happy with the adoption.

We also help dog owners, and people who have found a lost dog, try to find a new home for these pets. We assist them by listing the dog on our web site as an owner assist listing. The owner or current caretaker of the pet continues to care for the pet and is the contact person for the pet, while the dog is listed on our webpage. Our adoption fees and policies for FCAR do not apply to these dogs. Their adoptions go strictly through their owners and caretakers and we try to help find them new families by providing exposure for them through our webpages.
