Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Willow (formerly known as Princess)
Willow is approximately 4 years old and a merle/fawniquin color. She is considered a special needs Great Dane because she is deaf. Therefore, she is required to go to a home with a minimum 4 foot fenced yard.
Willow is a very loving dog that, like most deaf dogs, has separation anxiety. Willow is crate trained, but is reliable free in the home as well. She loves to snuggle, ride in the car, go for walks, and generally be where ever you are. Willow would do well in a home with 1-2 other dogs. She likes to chase the cats but does not intend any harm. Willow will do well in a home with kids of any age. But since she is deaf, she will startle easily when sleeping.
She is trained with hand commands but is generally a very good girl that is never far behind. Willow has had part of her ear bitten off...this happened prior to coming into rescue. She has also had part of her tail amputated due to happy tail. She continues to struggle with sores on the end of her tail but keeping it wrapped and moist seems to help.
Willow is spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on monthly preventatives. She is due for vaccinations in February of 2015.
