My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

It's hard to imagine this truly beautiful (inside & out) Schnoodle (Schnauzer/Poodle mix) wandering the streets of Texas..so cold and skinny. A compassionate passer-by took Yoda in and nursed him back to health...she came to also love him and care about his welfare. We're positive that she had no idea that she was bringing him to a high-kill shelter when she dropped him off thinking he'd get a great new home. Farfel's Rescue was contacted about this wonderful Schnoodle...our TX rescuer met Yoda and came to fall in love with this awesome guy who just naturally puts happy feelings into the world. Farfel's responded and will be transporting Yoda to Colorado and a new life.
Farfel's Rescue agrees that Yoda deserves only the best after so many challenges in his life and has agreed to participate in his rehoming. Wonderful Yoda is the sweetest Schnoodle around...and the very popular Schnauzer/Poodle mix is acknowledged to be one of the top as a family pet. Yoda has a striking, non-shedding coat with gorgeous fawn and cream coloring. They're also widely known for their great temperaments and devoted natures. The following is a description of Yoda by his foster mom: Yoda is such a sweetie! He loves attention and is so comical - and then plays outside in the sunshine. He loves to snuggle, be petted and is learning to be great about grooming. His hair will require care...a periodic grooming would be perfect to keep his stunning coat as beautiful as it can be. Yoda is fine with other dogs but appears to feel better with gentle, respectful dogs of a similar size. Yoda is great with my 13 and 17 year old boys and me!! I haven't seen him around smaller kids. so that's an unknown. He's great and a love bug with my mom and I think he'd be perfect for a senior who enjoys walks and being outside with a best friend. Yoda weighs just 9.2 lbs (so easy to scoop up and take anywhere) and is about 6.5 yrs old...a great age for a Schnoodle - old enough to have wisdom and to be quiet and cuddly.. and young enough to have energy to participate in all activities of life. Schnoodles, as a mix, tend to live very long and healthy lives.
Yoda is a truly smart boy and if shown the way, always wants to please. He's very responsive to 'no' and is learning all kinds of new skills. What a gem of a dog Yoda would be for retirees who seek a full-time pal who can accompany them everywhere and be a pleasure. He would also be happy with a mellow doggy companion who would play a bit and then hang out together and enjoy the day.
Yoda's only repercussion of his tough and neglected life are his teeth. Farfel's will be covering the costs of a dental for Yoda.
Yoda will arrive on transport in Boulder on or right around 1/4/15. If interested in this sweet and very loving companion, please fill out an application at http://farfelsrescue.com/adoption/ and submit to farfelsapps@gmail.com.
