Manley's Story...
Although my name is Manley, I'm really not so manly. I'm pretty shy because I've been out on my own and I'm still a little scared of my new surroundings. Nice people here let me come to them; they don't push me to be petted. When you let me come to you, I warm up and will lick your face. Then, I enjoy being petted and will take treats gently. I just want to greet you first. I get along with the other dogs here but I'm still a little scared of the ones who bark at me. Update: I'm coming to the front of my kennel to get cookies and to be petted. I still retreat a little, but I really want to enjoy people and I'm trying hard. Update 11/12/14 I am much more sociable than I was just a few days ago. I really like to play with the other dogs. I'm going to be easy to train because I'm responsive, I like attention, and I solicit affection and give affection to you. I'm also heartworm negative. When you adopt me, my adoption fee includes: 1) Spay or Neuter, 2) Rabies and 5-way Vaccinations, 3) Deworming, 4) Flea/Tick Preventative, 5) Heartworm Test, 6) Heartworm Preventative, 7) Microchip, and 30 days of Free Pet Insurance.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Manley, a Tyner Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Tyner, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Tyner.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Tyner already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Tyner breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Tyner paves the way for another one to be saved.
