Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Susie! Susie is a cute little 4 and a half year old cocker spaniel mix. She weighs about 20 pounds which makes her the perfect size dog. Little Suzie has been in rescue for over a month and us now ready to find that forever home of her own.
The perfect home for Suzie would be someone who is home a lot. She is a people orientated dog who loves to do nothing but follow you around and hang out with you. She is definitely a cuddler when it comes to bedtime. She will get under the covers and spoon with you all night.
Little Suzie is going to need a fenced yard or someone who understands that her recall is pretty much non existent, so she needs to be leashed at all times when not in a confined area. She is now fully potty trained and improving on the rest of her manners.
Suzie does live in a foster home with other dogs and cats. Suzie does have alpha tendencies that are being worked with and will need continual work in her forever home. In the beginning Suzie was very much a cat chaser. We have been working on that and she is responding to correction. She is still never left unattended with the cats, ever, as we do not trust her to not chase when no one is watching. With that bring said, Suzies new home would have to have a very dog savvy cat, and people who know how to continue that work with her.
Suzie is a sweet girl that will flourish and bring you many happy years together in the right home. Small children do make her nervous so a home without small children is best.
