My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

On January 06, 2015, Keno was selected to be one of Friendship's Prison Dogs. He is currently undergoing training at the Grafton Correctional Institution. Prison Dogs are trained in obedience, basic commands, manners and proper leash walking. He will spend approximately 8-12 weeks at the prison.

If you are interested in adopting this prison dog, Friendship will start accepting adoption applications on Friday, FEBRUARY 20, 2015. They can be downloaded at friendshipapl.org under ADOPT-FIND A FRIEND. A limited amount of apps will be accepted for each Prison Dog. They must be hand delivered to Friendship. If you have any questions, please contact the shelter at 440-322-4321.

Please contact Friendship if you decide not to adopt this prison dog so your name can be taken off the list.

Keno is a high spirited 2 year old American Pit Bull mix. He was brought to Friendship by our Humane Officer because his family was not properly caring for him. Keno is a super friendly and very strong boy. He loves to give kisses. Keno is house trained but has had minimal obedience training. Because of his size and strength, young children are not recommended. Once Keno gets the training he needs, he'll be one great dog.
