My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Mason sat at the dog pound for 2 months waiting and waiting but was over looked time and time again. Why? He is such a great dog. Simple answer, he is a Pit Bull mix and with 68% of the US population being Pit or Pit mixes and the horrible negative stereotype that is simply not true they are often over looked and always the first to die in a shelter scared and alone never knowing true love of a family.

We were contacted by a family who saw the love in Mason's eyes and knew they couldn't let him die there. He was the next on the list to be killed because the kennel was running out of space and he was there the longest. Mason has proved the stereotype 100% wrong and some family is missing out on this awesome dog!

When we pulled Mason from the pound he was nothing but a bag of bones. He has lost so much weight from sitting there for so long that we were a little nervous he might not recover. Mason is a real trooper and he did recover and wants nothing more then your love, your snuggles and a family to call his own. Unfortunately Mason has one more hurtle to overcome. He tested positive for heart worm and is starting treatment in January. He will be able to go to a foster to a adopt home or as soon as his treatment is over he can be adopted.

He is good with other dogs of all sizes and LOVES LOVES LOVES LOVES toys.... and lots of hugs and pets. He is great in the house, and loves playing with the dogs at his foster home. He is also a big snuggle-bug when it's time to relax. He is working on walking on leash and is getting better every day!

Mason is house trained and crate trained.

Mason is NOT good with cats, he thinks they are toys!
