My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This strikingly handsome boy is Oscar, a black lab that is about 9 years old and would be the happiest dog around if you would give him a great home. Oscar came to us from down south with some of his friends when their time ran out. Oscar is truly a southern gentleman. When you go to visit him while he's in his run, he will be a bit barky at you but please, don't be fooled.....Oscar is a giant mush. Once he sniffs you a time or two, he will plop down on his big rump right next to you, lean against you, and hope that you'll pet him for a while. When Oscar gets to know you, forget it, he turns into a big puddle. He will crawl to you, put his paws on your feet, then roll on his back so you'll scratch him forever. What an absolute doll Oscar is! He is very well behaved too. He sits when asked, takes treats gently, and walks well on a leash. Oscar is heartworm positive. We are treating the heartworm, but Oscar will need a home where he can remain calm for the rest of his treatment. If you are interested in Oscar, our veterinarian will be happy to discuss the treatment with you. This lovable lug is so deserving of a great home with a family to love him. Please come in and meet him, he'll melt your heart too. File#24117 11/15/14
