My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Caber
Black Male
DOB: 03/22/10
Cat Trainable - Yes
Our policy is to reserve the cat-trainable dogs for those homes that truly require them. If you have no small animals, you will need to adopt a dog that is not deemed small animal trainable.

Caber is a happy, friendly boy. He may be a little unsure at first, but he settles in quickly with a little reassurance. Be patient and you'll soon see his happy, silly side. He loves attention and responds really well to positive reinforcement. Watch him closely in the house initially as he may still have the urge to "mark" things. He interacted well with the other greyhounds. Caber responded well when meeting Jack Russell Terriers, but caution should always be exercised with smaller animals, especially outdoors.

Foster Home Update:
Caber is an easy going sweet fella who loves to be loved and will dole out a kiss here and there. He lives for his daily walks and is a perfect gentleman on lead walking right along side you. He's very food motivated and eats his meals like they're the first and last he's ever seen. He's been known to counter surf, so be sure to keep food in the kitchen out of reach. He generally ignores our cats but has shown some interest in playing with them, which we do not encourage. A couple of firm "leave its" and his attention can be diverted. Caber is also quite the leaner which we love. When he's really excited he'll try to lean on you and miss the mark, it's quite comical.

Caber is such a mellow mannered and nice guy and will fit into most any home easily. Just don't forget the walks, treats and love -- they're his favorite! He also enjoys playing with stuffies:
